Preordered mine as well. My iPhone 4 will go to my wife as her 3G needs replacement. Without that need I might have passed but the camera is enticing more than anything.

Did I understand the case is the same size? I don't remember ever upgrading my phone and not needing a new case and some cables.

Yeah the case/screen is the same as the iPhone 4.... So the current collection of cases should work... buttons/everything is in the same place...

It is a tad heavier though

I have the FIRST generation iPod touch (yeah, high tech but I was one of the first to get it!)
I've used this thing for a few years, and I really like it. I want an iPhone, but I don't want to switch to ATT. I have Sprint

Will someone please dummy this down for me? Will a trip to the Sprint store take care of me?

no, Sprint has the 4S. Wouldn't make sense if they didn't and just got an old phone... anyway.

Depending on your contract, you're gonna have to shell out for the phone and a data plan (if you don't have one already). Just go to the store and have 'em preorder one for you, so you can get it when it comes out next week

as for me, I'll be holding off for the 5, whenever that comes out. I renewed my contract when I got the 4 last November, so even if it's exclusive to a non-ATT carrier.. I might switch for the first time in about 10 years.

The contract I had has expired by now. We've had our service without a contract for a few years, I think (I guess the old service just carried over?)

I'm not a texter and I don't use the camera on my current phone. I pretty much use my phone to

wait for it.....

I do like my iPod touch though for surfin' the net, listening to music, and there are some apps I love. I'd love to combine the phone and iPod.
Since I don't really care about photos, I'll probably get the 16GB version.
Who knows, maybe I'll even LEARN how to send a text.

The iPhone was the reason I got unlimited texting. You *might* want to even get the 4, since that's only $99 now and can walk out of the store with one today. I don't think you need to be dropping that much money on the 4s if you won't use all of its new features.

My order status just says pending. That is what it has said since last Friday after I placed my order. I happen to be in Louisville and fly to Houston tomorrow. Maybe I should swing by UPS and bring it to you. I can ask if they have one for me as well.
