Nissan GT-R cop car - 10-07-2011, 03:15 PM

Nissan GT-R cop car umm WOW

"One school of legal thought argues that the foundations of law itself derive from a code of human behaviour; based on 'morals'. Thus, legislation is hampered by innate human limits.

One such limit: the fleet of cars in the hands of our constabulary. Clearly, you're not going to give meaningful chase in an Astra panda car.

But EVI has stepped in to drastically redress the balance. The American organisation, based in Virginia, is headed up by an ex US secret service agent and outfits undercover police cars. They told TopGear.com that they've been asked by an undisclosed police force to equip that GT-R you see above for undercover police duty.

EVI couldn't comment on the car's spec, nor which police force would be deploying said GT-R for undercover duty, nor if it's even in the US. It could have been shipped anywhere around the world, they told us.

But they did share some pics. Criminals of the world, you have been warned..."

Is this the world

Cars like that are no fun. I used to drive a police camaro and I hardly ever got into any car chases. When I drove Crown Vics I was always in car chases.

one of my best friends has a 2010 GTR, and lucky me I am always the DD when we all go out... speaking as someone who drives one regularly, It's a blast, but Chris is right, not as fun as most people think, you can't really "drive" it here. But it is pretty cool to be driving around and have a cop pull up next to you at a red light and offer to trade cars for a couple of miles... he was of course joking, but offered nonetheless. The looks you get from the Young guys (Fast and Furious Types) are CLASSIC, it's as if they've seen the Holy Grail.
