iPhone iOS 5 comes out today.... =)

3gs went smoothly however as with all previous upgrades all the old emails reload as new, guess I'll have to stop saving them on the server.

Upgraded my 3GS flawlessly, everything works as before. Unfortunately the upgrade to iOS 5 hasn't made my life any happier, I am as happy as before, which means i wasted my time.

Ok. So after too much of a fight with the iPhone, here is what i think got back the contacts on my phone.
*
Step 1: Setting -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> iCloud : Switch off everything.
Step 2: Go back to main setting page.
Step 3: Make sure you see "Inactive" under iCloud.

Step 4: Hit the home button

Step 5: Close iTunes and start it back up.
*
Step 6: Unplug your iPhone from the computer and plug it back in.

Step 4,5,6 is to make sure you are starting a new session.

Step 7: Sync iTunes.
*
Step 8: Check your contacts. They should have come back up
*
Step 9: Setting -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> iCloud : Switch on everything.

Choose the option "merge" when you get it.

Didn't WORK, but thank you!!!

I went to the Apple store on Saturday morning and they tried everything I did and they still could not under stand why my Mac somehow deleted my BACKUP!!! So like Tex said, I wasted my time, Doh!!!
I got it FIXED, lesson learn make more than 2 backups!

The Settings> General has the WiFi sync, but as you can see in this shot it is gray and not selectable unless cabled to the PC. I can have it charged and charging, but Sync is grayed out unless attached to the PC. I am puzzled because I didn't make any selections on my wife's devices but both my iPhone and iPad2 are the same, grayed.

Is there a setting elsewhere I am missing?

in iTunes, with the device connected, Summary - Options - Sync with WiFi.

Got it. Thanks for helping me get clued in. I don't know why I clicked that on my PC but it was a default on hers?

Should have specified on your computer. Now I have to figure out why my work cal is duplicated all the others are fine.
