Just saw this one Facebook....

ALL PHOTOGRAPHERS: PLEASE BE ON THE LOOKOUT. MY FRIEND RICHARD STURDEVANT'S STUDIO WAS BROKEN INTO LAST NIGHT. THEY TOOK A VIRTUAL BACKGROUND MACHINE, NIKON D300, PROFOTO LIGHTS AND CINEBATE EQUIPMENT. IF ANYONE SEES THESE FOR SALE OR ONLINE, PLEASE CONTACT HIM. THE POLICE ARE THERE FINGERPRINTING RIGHT NOW

(For those that don't know.. Richard is DFW Area.)

The guy does killer work, wins all sorts of awards whenever he competes. It's getting to the point that you almost have to keep your stuff in a bank vault overnight to keep it from getting stolen, sad state of affairs.

BTW cops getting clean fingerprints just doesn't happen that often unless they touch a clean piece of glass or smooth plastic that is dry and don't drag their fingers along with it-don't even go with the DNA route (they won't mess with that unless someone gets killed or shot or the robbery is BIG-btw it still takes at least 72 hours to run a DNA test if everything is dropped and run right away contrary to TV shows that do it in under 2!)

I hope he had/has insurance to cover his losses.
