At least according to one website. There are several examples that are good, but I've seen more "spectacular" on this forum. The dew drop reflecting the sunflower is amazing though. I truly don't understand the elephant as a macro picture unless it was a figurine.

Yep, I agree, Jim (4eyes) and a few others produce some amazing stuff. The elephant was kinda weird for a macro.

I can see the point in the elephant, but I think it depends on your macro-style. I know many people who take macro shots of large items in order to catch the fine details within.

So on the elephant you can see the dirt and pieces of grass on its head. You can see the lines on its skin and its eyelashes. I guess it is just like your own skin - if you hold your hand at a distance you see much less detail than if you look at it up close.

I really liked the shot of the sunflower in the dew drop. I have seen that done before, but it's still really cool. A few of the shots are less than spectacular IMO but worth a look overall. I'm a fan of the website.

Agreed. As well as a few other forums. Brian V. aka LordV comes to mind when talking of "spectacular" drops w/reflections. Ken, Robert S., Eric, NateS (from NikonCafe) all come to mind when the words "spectacular" and "macro" are used in the same sentence... to me at least
