I have an Acura TL and I don't even know what that means LOL. I do know that it works just fine in my TL. I just leave it in my pocket. In fact, I sometimes forget the call is being made by my iphone and not my Acura since I only use the two buttons on my steering wheel. I'm guessing this auto phone book may be some sort of feature that uses the phone book in your iphone. If so my car wouldn't do this with any phone. It does have a phone book though that I create. So I just say something like "Call David" and then it dials.

Son went 3GS to 4s. He has 2012 Sonata. Bluetooth works no problem right out of the box.
Or so he said.

What really threw me off was when I got in my father in-laws SUV. (I forget the model but i believe it's a GMC). Anyway, all the songs on my ipod were available to play through his radio. All through blue tooth. There they were, listed with titles and track info, etc.. It was kind of scary. It makes me wonder if cars next to me at red lights are checking out my playlists. What other info are they getting off of my phone??

You have to authourize the connection from your phone.

That's what I thought, but this wasn't the case. My phone was in my pocket the entire time and my playlists were showing up on his radio. I have never authorized it (this was my first time in his car). I know that if I had blue tooth disabled it wouldn't work like that, but I don't want to have to enable it every time I get in my car.

I've just NEVER been a fan of Apple.
From the beginning days of going to the store to buy a program and having aisle after aisle of PC stuff to choose from, and the only Apple stuff was stuck on a single end cap (and it was all called "Mac_____")... to today's "better than you because I have an Apple product" mentality of the people that shop at the Apple store.

The phones of today are the same as the computers of yesterday.
All iPhones are Apple phones.
Android is on HTC, Samsung, Motorola, LG... feel like I'm missing others... just line Windows/DOS was on... freaking everything EXCEPT Apple/Macintosh.
Then, just like Linux (metaphorically speaking), HTC, Samsung, Motorola, LG and others are doing Windows phones as well.

But an iPhone is an Apple is an iPhone... is an Apple... and I do not like Apple.

I also hate all this "i_____" that is popping up everywhere. I've seen an optometrist office called "iVision"... Grrrr!

I have the power to channel my imagination into ever-soaring levels of suspicion and paranoia.

Cool! Have fun! I have gone App Crazy. There are some fun ones out there. My favorite one right now is the Timelapse one that Jake recommended.

I need to get more apps, I have lots of fun with songify. Yesterday Siri called me by my name, kinda freaky. I had asked it to text someone for me and it did and it read it back to me asked if it should send the text, I replied yes and then it said is there anything else I can do for you today Dora?
