Where should I get iPhone 4s?

Help. I've never had an iPhone (Crackberry user) and don't know if I should get one at the Apple Retail Store or at Verizon/ATT/Sprint store.

If I get one at the Apple store, what service do I get? I don't get how that works.

I checked at Verizon. They want $105 for their family plan for two phones which includes 700 shared anytime minutes plus talk and text to any mobile in US unlimited + $30 for a smart phone dataplan up to 2 gigs per month.

So, that would be $135/mo for DH's plain old phone and my iPhone. The phone is $200 with 16 GB and a 2 yr contract. Is that good?

Can the iPhone run Flash yet?
If not... why would you get it over a Windows or an Android phone?

Simply because I am a DA when it comes to this technical mumbo jumbo and I've been told that iPhones are DA proof. Sort of like the difference between Mac computers and PCs... or so I'm told.

OK. I found out how the service works. You get the phone at the Apple store and get the service through ATT/Sprint or Verizon. As per the Apple store website, you can reserve one before 9pm tonight and pick it up tomorrow. Really? I need to call them. Hard to believe.

iPhone still DO NOT run flash media. If you can find one in stock, where ever it is, buy it. Apple oversold its initial run of iPhone 4S stock during the pre-order stage. Now, Apple is opening up 22 new countries for iPhone sales. Needless to say, getting your hands on an iPhone is a pretty good trick right now.

I say get it... I use both and like ios over android.... well unless you root it to a newer version of android like ice cream sandwich.. plus the iphone 4S camera is one of the best camera phones out there... actually it is better than a lot of mid grade point and shoots....

This is my own opinion...

Also like my tablets, I choose my ipad over my android tablet or touchpad any day of the week... the iOS is pretty idiot proof... this is coming from a exProgrammer and OS tinkerer that loves to root/jb any phone I get....

Thanks guys. I just drove over to the Apple store at First Colony mall, got the iPhone, got it activated and a little tutorial and walked over to the Verizon kiosk and got the plan set up. Done deal. Now I just have to figure out how to use it. Siri is awesome. The camera is awesome. Now I have to go find the app that Jake used for his landing airplane iPhone timelapse.

Be forewarned some are NSFW most are amusing. Supposedly SIRI is to lead to an AI interface.

Not buying an iPhone because it doesn't support websites with flash is like not buying a BMW because the passenger seat doesn't have lumbar support. It's a non issue 99% of the time. The phone is amazing. You made a good choice. Enjoy it.

Well, the difference between the iPod and iPhone will just depend on what you want to do and how big a device you want to carry around. But, waiting for the next latest and greatest is something I no longer do. I used to always want to wait for the next one, but found that I never got anything. Now I just get what I want when I want it and don't worry about it.
