I agree. It was still a cool shot. I would love to capture the northern lights.

Great photo!

Unfortunately, I had no camera for a night in 1973 while flying from Seattle to Minneapolis about 1 AM, we were in sight of a full eclipse of the moon, Comet Kohoutek and the Aurora for about two hours. It was a beautiful sight, but the picture would have been pretty hard to compose.

Very cool. Just goes to show that sometimes to get great photos you've just got to get out there and shoot. Sometimes the stars align for you (pun intended :-)
