I read that. Historically I believe that if you keep the phone off battery life will be much better. But I also believe that if a person is bleeding, a tourniquet will stop the bleeding. This works with a bloody nose too.

Lots of people say it did not do anything to the battery drain.... Also it patches things that might prevent it from being jailbroken....

Remember: no firmware upgrade will ever fix "lack of talent". ;)

I've had it installed for several hours. Whereas I was losing 2% of my battery per hour with minimal use, it has now lost 1% in about two and a half hours. From my perspective it is a winner.

It also adds gestures to iPad 1 models.

The kids at work jailbreak theirs (4 and 3gs's)and they get all their app's for free.
They have no concept of wrong doing either.

Yeah I there are a lot of useful apps that apple will not allow on their store that I find useful. Plus the ability to turn crap off and on like bt, wifi, 3g, etc, I do not have to go into settings. I can turn things off on the home screen. While a lot of people get apps for free because of JB... there are a lot of people who buy apps that can only run on jb phones......

Now I admit, if I was poor or a college student I probably would be doing the same thing... but since I use to be a software developer I know what it is like to be screwed. Plus I earn a decent income, .99 here 1.99 there is not really anything....... less than a cup of coffee anywhere and last forever (well until development stops and something comes out better :) )
