piano shell rental or loan - 11-09-2011, 03:27 PM

I have web searched myself close to silly trying to find a grand piano shell (any size other than Schroeder's) for a senior shoot.

I made the mistake of brainstorming with the mother, and now she seems hell bent on having her daughter sitting at a grand piano in the middle of a field. One day I will learn to keep creative thoughts to myself....yet again, probably not.

So does anyone know of a grand piano shell, any size, any color that is available for a photo shoot. Client is in NW Houston, but we could drive to a greater Houston location (read within an hour or so).

I did find one guy on the web who will rent it for $400. But he was not willing to place it in the middle of a field.

Tell mom as soon as she finds someone to place the piano, you are ready.

I would shoot two different pictures and merge the two of them.

Otoh, I bet he will...for a price. If mom wants to pay it, the option has been afforded her. If she says no, you tried.
