I am not liking the 2013 Boss 302 refresh though: 2013 Ford Mustang and Boss 302 get styling, packaging updates

I like that they made the side skirts body colored instead of plastic. Makes the car look much better.

I love this modern day horsepower race. My entire childhood I would hear about the great muscle cars of the 60's and 70's. This was the late 80s when cars had about 65 horses and did 0-60mph eventually with enough patience. I always secretly wished a new horsepower war would start. I believe the 1993 Z28 started it with the now mere 275HP. It was unheard of then. Especially when you consider the corvette was only making 300HP and the 91 vette only made 250HP. That camaro was truly a poor mans vette and once it came out the mustang and corvette started uping their HP.

How many people do you trust to drive a 650hp car on the same road as you?

It is not a good thing.

They need to concentrate on fuel mileage.

The V6 model gets 300hp and 30+MPG highway.

Two of my cars are 550+ hp.

The V6 @ 300hp & 30mpg is just about ideal.

I bet that 550+ is fun in the rain.... and the gas pump.

What is your mileage in the V ?

My wifes 06 CTS with 255hp has all the power you need and gets ~19mpg.

MY 400hp/800tq gets ~21mpg.

Does anybody like them?

All the power you need is relative. Technically my 40MPG TDI VW has all the power I need, but it isn't much fun.

My V got 18.8 on a run through Houston, My Cobra got 24MPG on a run to Chicago. I do know how to drive inthe rain and both cars are incredibly mild mannered. I even have drag radials on the Cobra and used it for a daily driver for years. Both were much friendlier in the rain than the motorcycle was.

*I should add that while I find them incredibly easy going in the rain, I wouldn't let anyone else try them. Of course I very rarely let anyone try them on dry pavement.

So which diesel truck do you have? My bddy's F-350 was the 7.4L and did surprisingly well on gas despite being a 4-door longbed dually.

My 7.3 was stolen in early May. Had it 9 yrs and 304k.

I am driving a '11 250 Crew Cab with the new 6.7.

Starting over sucks.

I saw a story about folks in Canada that like to tune the TDI.

Doesn't take much to get a lot more out of a diesel.

Ouch. They are ridiculously high theft targets these days.

I looked into tuning the TDI but most mentioned they wouldn't mess with the US model. I'll have to look again because it as been a while. VW in most of the world offers a 170hp variant of the 2.0L that seems to be based on just the tune. That would be nice to get the extra hp, although the torque is nice. I was hoping we'd get the A4 TDI with the 3.0L, but we haven't yet.
