NO WAY will I get up at midnight to stand in a line with a bunch of ____'s for something that will likely be gone before I get to it. I'm not that desperate for anything!

Now if I was after bragging rights....

I'll pass did all my shopping last week and if any of the items happen to be on sale for black friday I will just go in later with my receipt and get them for the lower price, did it last year save like 5 hours of standing in lines still got my items and saved almost $100.00

Getting up at midnight will get you nowhere. Some of the major deal stores are opening at midnight. I bet there'll be campers outside Best Buy from 4 pm or earlier.

I saved a bundle on cyber monday last year, even over the prices advertised on "black Friday". (at Amazon)

I live near enough to two shopping centers, Meyerland Plaza and the Houston Galleria, to absolutely dread the annual madness, as more time must be allowed to get anywhere. On the other hand, the shopping season means working some overtime shifts, patrolling the areas around shopping centers, which will mean bigger paychecks in January.

As for shopping on-line, I have had packages go astray during the holiday delivery rush, so I may not do much or any cyber-shopping or evil-bay-ing, either. Perhaps, a very small order will be placed with Amazon BEFORE Thanksgiving, however.

My wife and I have agreed that the his-n-hers Nikons in September and October will be
our big holiday gifts, anyway. (New D7000 for her; pre-owned F6 for me.)
