What about the story where a developer got through the "app store" process and then was able to get malicous code through, then he got fired (probably rightfully so). We had a big discussion at work about this. So with IOS allowing apps access to root, once they have compromised your system, it's pretty much over. That's why it's so easy to jailbreak IOS because the apps are allowed so much into the os. With android, they're just more open leading to more security issues. So basically, would you rather get robbed because the door didn't have a lock or because you spent all this time putting up security?
