So I'm in the checkout line at Walmart. The couple in front says to the checkout dude, "put that back, we don't want it" Clerk says, "is there something wrong with it? Customer says "no, but we only got one and you still charged me $5.99. Even more interesting. The item was a black corset. They were upset about clearance Walmart lingerie being over priced at $5.99...  When I left they were still there. The clerk was missing. Walmart is pretty much all we have here... Luckily, I haven't noticed anything like this at ours. It actually seems to be pretty well run. There are a couple other grocery stores, but for any kind of electronics - Walmart is it unless we want to drive a half hour to Rockwall. Even DVD/Blu-Rays, Walmart is mostly the only option. We have a Hastings, but they are way over-priced. The last time I bought a movie there, I paid about $5 more than the price at Walmart, and the receipt said I "saved" something like $30. WTF is the normal price, lol? The rumor is that we'll be getting a Target store in town soon. No telling when that will happen though. Apparently, there used to be a K-mart, but that was before I moved here. It's pretty sad, really. Not counting Walmart, there are two grocery stores in town, and a Hastings. The mall here is pathetic. You walk into JCPenney, and you can see the entire store from the door. Literally. Nothing like a Best Buy at all. ...I mostly shop online for electronics. |

Eh... Walmart has been around forever. My grandmother and uncle worked at the first Walmart in Bentonville when it first opened (ick... I just dated myself... no wait... I wasn't conceived yet. Yeah... that's it. someone TOLD me about my grandma and uncle working there. I never really visited the store as a kid, as far as you know...) The "store" isn't so much an issue. I was just posting about someone that I saw today.
