All too true, and the major difference between the professional photojournalist and the masses with a camera? Professional Photojournalists require payment for their work. (and the photo quality) The others are happy to have a photo in a news story. No pay required. Good enough is always great when free.

Just wait until the "masses with a camera" find out they could have been making money off of it...

It's the 5 min rule...everyone seeks to have there 5 mins of fame...but the rebuttles to the post are actually more intresting than the post...a few good points are made...any body can take a picture...a Photojournalist builds a relationship with there subject...that is what will be missed most of all, on once CNN is done with this...

Unfortunately...if CNN does it, everyone else will probably follow-suite...until every news station everywhere will be showing the same photos for the same story...sad...sad...sad...

I get the dreaded question all the time...(you have a good or great camera, would you shoot --------)...my response is NO, I will be paid for it...but you would probably be better-off having a professional do it...that is there job, that is there life...this is my hobby...

Sorry so long...
