Long Term Boat Rental Texas Gulf Coast - 12-08-2011, 12:33 PM

My father in law will be visiting from Germany in spring next year. He loves fishing and we would like to rent a small basic saltwater boat for three weeks (or even buy a used one if it makes sense). Preferably in the Rockport/Aransas Pass/Port Aransas area. I couldn't find any long term boat rentals online.

Does anyone have a suggestion or recommendation?

Oh, and if anybody has a suggestion about a small nice vacation home in this area, I'm all ears. Must be very close to the water and possibly in walking distance to a grocery store.

Maybe checkout VRBO. and look at Aransas Pass area. I know that have some offshore fishing boats you can get on and are within walking distance to some of the vacation rentals. There are a few stores within the little town. and eateries also but will depend on where you stay as to walking distance. The town is not all that big so it maybe a short walk.

You might give the Better Business Bureau a try. I've always been overloaded with information whenever I asked a BBB for help. Their website should list their members and that might be useful, too.

Thanks, Tom. Come to think of it, a friend of mine, Mimi Rose who is the sister of Charlie Robison, works there.

Still, any recommendations on the boat rental?
