Because most people don't care, especially if it's a cell phone pic. And see it as "free" money even though I'm not sure how many people want a tire shirt.

I still think I have a great idea for a freebirds t-shirt design, I just don't have the artistic skills to carry it out. And I'd get free freebirds for life. I'd be all over that.

lol at freebirds. My thing is that they do have a budget and if they plan on using images for publications, brochures, and a number of other uses they should at least pay instead of insulting people with credits.

Ha, but it's cheaper this way, they save money, and some 18 year old kid or soccer mom taking a quick snap thinks it's better than nothing. Seems like everyone is trying to save a buck these days.

The only think I liked about dominos (if you can believe the ad), is that if they find bad pictures, they try and fix it for you.

I'd do it. I think it could be fun, and I use Nitto tires. I already pretty much advertise for them for free.

Wonder if I could work that into the car shoot...they are on my Cobra...

So unfortunate that people would give there images away for nothing just for a little fame and or bragging rights.

Content for swag, as simple as that, now if I could get a full set of tires for my Jeep that would cover some photo's.

I use their product and love it. I would be willing to support them just because they make some of the best tires for my car. They are no where near the size of Goodyear or Michelin or anything.

Perfect and as well you should. But im thinking big picture not just tires, its just the principle that is a tad disturbing and clearly it could be very well becoming a trend.
So lets take the Nitto tires which you passionately love out of the equation. If it was for a different product X,(which for argument sake you might not love as much)would it be any different?

Submitting pictures to a TV station, local newspaper etc and companies who are clearly trying to capitalize how is that even remotely close?
What did they do last year and the years before that for the campaign and publications?

I give up....

"Love accounting? Nitto Tire is inviting both amateur and professional accountants and financial hobbists to submit creative accounting ideas for our tax filing purposes.

Individuals whose work is selected by Nitto will be allowed to join them in court and possibly in prison. You might even get some free media exposure out of this deal too. Any credits you might earn will be worthless after we file for bankrupcy."
