Someone might be using you info/cards to shop in LONDON with the lowlife hacker that confiscated my info!!! I would like to drag that individual out behind the barn (or the court house square) & show them all the curves/sturdiness of a well cured Bodark post!!!
I did catch it before to much damage had occuerd! Just thought I'd pass this along as a reminder for others to keep an eye on their accounts because the lowlife hackers certainly are!! Merry Christmas!!! | | | | | Sponsored Links | Premium Members do not see Google advertisements. SIGN UP today and help support our community.

Yeah, my wife just went through this a couple of weeks ago, and like Ron said, most banks just take the hit and refund you the dough taken.
I have had that happen to me last year, but I do agree to keep an eye out on personal accounts especially during This Holiday Season.

My son had the same thing happen a couple of years ago. Someone emptied his account of a couple G's. The bank caught it almost immediately, closed the account, already had new account set up and cards on the way same day.

So sorry for your troubles I had my purse stolen three weeks ago, and I'm dealing with the ensuing mess. You and I can find those criminals and give them a good kick (or two or three) .

You definitely want to check with your bank to see what their policy regarding fraud is. My dad's debit card was robbed of $1,500 from some place in florida. He called the bank within 12hrs and they were unable to refund his money. I think an actual credit card is safer in these situations, since there's some delay in the money actually changing hands. Debit cards just shoot the money on over.

You hope that it's only about money, it can be replaced. When it moves into your medical history or turns you into a criminal, then it's serious. I help solve the problem for people & trust me on this one... it's not easy. You want a team going to battle for you on this one.

-Ray- | Yes, the lady at the bank typed up a letter to send to the place/people/what/where ever the bus & plane ticket was purchased informing them the card was used illegally & requesting a refund. She said it would be refunded not sure just when. This is the first time I've had to deal with something like this. Hope it's the last!! Quote:

They said the new cards could take a week to get here because of the holidays. Quote:

Hummm.......I think they need more than kicking! Beating is more like it!! Hate it when people think they have the right to steal from others! I hope our thieves end up in jail for a long time!! While their hanging there I can show them the straights & rough sides of one of those well cured bodark posts. Quote:

I agree that credit cards may be the safer way to go. Those need to be checked daily also! Quote:

I can see where it can turn into a nightmare! Tampering with medical history or making the innocent the criminal would be a nightmare! Hope I never have to deal with that!

This has happened to the Wife and myself a few times in the last ten years. The banks take care of the money stolen, but any fees incurred directly due to the stolen money will not be refunded. Just FYI.
