Our Story - Eat Art

I hope you'll join me in this great new cause started earlier this year by Founder Todd Clark.

Its a simple - but powerful - idea. You allow the site to sell prints of some of your top photos while RETAINING all rights.

They take the proceeds and feed hundreds of thousands of people.

More details at the link above....including how to contribute your photo artwork.

I've sent them several of my photos and I hope you will as well.

Highly recommended.

Very interesting concept. I don't know that any of my work is good enough to submit, but I might try it out. The worst they could do is say no.

I'm curious, they say that they pay the artists a fee from each sale, but there's nothing on the artist contribution page. Do you know what artists make for each picture sold? Also, it says they will sell as many as you allow, can you allow unlimited sales? (Just assuming you might know the answers if you already have signed an agreement.)

Huh. Most who try to feed themselves with photography these days ARE hungry...

I'm sorry but I don't have any answers to your questions.....the founder (Todd Clark) is on vacation this week and so I'd just suggest sending him an email. I just joined and haven't signed the agreement yet because of his absence.

There is something on the website about "starving artists", which is where he mentions that some money is given back to the artists so that they can continue making artwork.

Just bumping this once to let everyone who was not here yesterday know about this great initiative by Founder Todd Clark.

A great way for photographers to share their photo art and help out the hungry of the world.

That is pretty cool ... I wonder what I could use as well to donate ... hmm ...

I guess I will wait until Mr. Todd Clark returns to ask questions and send of some photos.
