month two... how's everyone doing?

I think I've lost ~3-4 lbs. Though I'd looooove to see the number come down some more, CrossFit is definitely throwing me some muscle so we'll see. the Paleo train is pretty tasty, but soooo easy to cheat when you're not cooking for yourself.

anyone have goals for the month?

Move more.

Other than that, like I said a few days ago, I've lost 10 pounds. I'd like to have lost more, but I didn't put it on all in one month either.

baby steps!

10 lbs is a milestone. keep it up! remember it's not so much a temporary change as it is a lifestyle overhaul.

I'd say in addition to moving more, make another change or two to your eating habits. of course I'm no professional and I have no license for you to listen to me, but you gotta keep changing if you want things to start making a difference

as for me, I'm finally quitting the gym and going to start Crossfit (and running) full time. the CF games registration begins this month and I need to get a leg up on MS150 training.

February isn't my favorite month, but maybe the harder I work, the sonner spring will get here

I started the INSANITY 5 days ago and WOW, Mr. Sean T. is kicking my butt!!
The first few times I had to pick up my heart and lungs off the floor, but I'm still kicking!!! If I can notice in 5 days, I can't wait to see the results in 15, 30, 45 and 60 days!!!!!!!

GOOD LUCK everyone!!!!

Well, I'll be the first to admit, I had a bad week as far as food goes.
I ate things I shouldn't have, on more than one occasion.

I got on the scale this morning, and I lost another half a pound.

I kick myself, wondering how much I would have lost had I eaten better this week.

I now look at it as a reminder to eat better, and move more over the next week.

Me too. How do you think I got here in the first place?

Although the herniated disc and the pinched sciatic nerve at L4-5 did have a hand in slowing me down.
A lot.

My wife and I just got back from our Saturday morning walk.
We took a little different route this morning. We wanted to try to increase our distance.
I didn't realize that Clayton has so many little hills just on the main roads.

We got a better burn this morning due to the hills, the increased distance, and we even did our best pace yet.

We walked 4.75 miles, in an hour and twenty one minutes. 1:21:07 to be precise.
Today's pace was 17:06 (seventeen minutes, six seconds) per mile.

Now for a nice cold bottle of water.

After a lot of work on weights and cardio, changing eating habits and nutrition, and going through ups and downs...

Jan. 2011: 207
Jan. 2012: 183

The most I ever weighed was 218, I think. That scared me enough to wake me up and start doing something in late 2010.

If I feel motivated in March or April, I might go back on Body for Life to drop another 10 for that lean look. I don't know yet.

Well, yesterdays route took us 3.44 miles, in 57:08 for a pace of 16:37 min/mile.
And here I didn't think we were going to break the 17 minute mile.

This morning's walk, was 3.48 miles, in 55:45 for a pace of 16:03 min/mile.

Great. Now my wife is going to be pushing me to beat a 16 minute mile next weekend.

it's March!

I've fallen in love with the CrossFit cult and my gym membership ends this month. Regattas, runs (sorta), & MS150 prep in full swing.. then triathlon season is 'round the corner.

Weight seems to have leveled off for the moment.. the paleo train is good, but I'm bad when I cheat :( though seems I'm still losing inches and gaining muscle. bikini season is also approaching.. I'll be ready :P

My wife says she'll be ready too, but we both need to work on it.
The beef stew I've got in the crock pot right now ain't gonna help!

Here's the suit she wants, but in black.

She's got a purple bikini but she says it looks like a bra and underwear.

Anyway........
I do need to get off my arse and get moving.
