Hi Guys,

Just got a Nikon D3000 with a AF-S Nikkor 55-200mm 1:4-5-6G VR and i really would like to at least start learning how to take good pictures.. Pleasssee help me with the basics

Or if you want to go the dead tree route... Understanding Exposure by Bryan Peterson is possibly the best book out there. Scott Kelby has some good ones as well.

Interesting idea...a friend borrowed my G-9 and could see the live view on the back of the camera. He only used film cameras before and is trying to decide on a digital. He was soooo excited that he could see the changes he was making as he was making them. i.e. he was adjusting ISO and could see if 100 or 800 let in more light. For those of us that learn that way, it is a really cool way to learn. and of course I had never thought of that before...DUH!!
