Found ours:
Texas Historical Marker - Whitehead Cemetery

Nice site, thanx!

EDIT: wrong Whitehead! wrong Henry Whitehead, too! Ours is a Texas Historic Cemetery so it is actually a bit different than most of these. Ours in near Liberty Hill in Williamson county and on private property (the Original Whitehead Ranch, still in family hands).

this is ours: Whitehead Cemetery

That's pretty cool Ken. I've got dead kinfolk scattered from south TX to east TX but nothing like that that I know of. Coast to coast actually...

I don't mind the $1.99. Well, actually I do, but I would pay it if it seemed to be any good. It isn't available for Android.

Worse, though, the link shows a three and one-half rating, but there are only three reviews listed, and all three of them pan the app. Their complaints seem to be legitimate and consistent. I can't imagine there are six other ratings of the current version and 18 other ratings of all versions that gave it a high enough rating to reach that level, but none of the others bothered to write a review.

There is also a book with all the markers listed.

"Why Stop?: A Guide to Texas Historical Roadside Markers"

I really like carrying the book with me on local travels.

I've almost picked it up a couple of times, but I didn't. After the last couple of little photo jaunts where the markers were not in good enough shape for good, legible photos, I've decided to go ahead and get it.

There is another app in the Apple's App Store, called TexasMarkers. It is only $0.99 and has better features. There are some reviews claiming crashing issues but I haven't seen any in the very few times I've used it so far. I like that it also has maps integrated so you can see what's nearby wherever you find yourself.

I MUCH preferred Ray Miller's 'The Eyes of Texas' (it started in 1969). And Ray didn't have a perpertual stufbd ub dose...
