I've spent so much on each. But alas it's what helps me get through work.

I don't understand expensive clothes (kind of but not really) but I can see why lenses cost what they cost. If it was just pure markup, the 3rd parties would have eaten away at the competition awhile ago.

I did the same in December 2009. January 2010 I bought the Nikon D90 and officially killed my car hobby off. I'm trading in my car next month for a family vehicle :( and that's rally when it's going to hit me.

Let me know if you can find a place that will rent a 600mm I only know of two places in Dallas that rent and they stop at 400mm.
