Does anyone know of a good spot to witness this event. I live just a few blocks down Holcombe.

I'm thinking that unless you can get up high, you won't be able to get close enough.

I figured as much since there is so much around the building and I am sure it will be surrounded with personnel of the official type. I might just go sit at Southwell's and watch the top of the building fall in.

And now I know why they are closing both Holcombe and Fannin. I was getting mad at all those signs.

I pass that building everyday ... wife works in Med Center.

We were wanting to see this as well, but alas, I already have plans.

Maybe you can get into the Hospital building across the street and go up to one of the floors and look out on of the hallway windows to get a shot.

Other than that, it's just to packed of a street to get a good shot from the ground far away.

I checked every possibly way of getting a view of the implosion and from what I have heard, there isn't a single vantage point that is available to the public.

I'm still checking with some people in the med center I know, but from what I understand, they are practically forcing people away due to debris concerns.

I was thinking about it, but I have to get in my building (UT UCT Tower) by 6am and cannot leave my building until 10am-12pm.... I have access pretty high up with a great view... (since it is sortof across the street). but I do not want to be locked in my building that long..... So I am forgetting it.....

Wuss. :)

If I knew I can get some decent photos of a rare event, I'd gladly camp out there.

Take your white lens and look 'official'. I'm sure a hard hat would help with the illusion as well.

I found a good spot near the building, but I will have to see if it is accessible tomorrow morning. Anyone else going?

Edit: looks like my spot is just inside the exclusion zone but if I back up about 100 feet I will be okay.

Crazy mass of people down here! Wow! Exclusion zone pushed back and implosion delayed two hours due to fog.
