Netflix / Hulu Plus - Alternative options

Netflix Pros:
· I like that it has a good amount of movie collections. I wish there were more current (new) releases.
· It supports my iPhone, iPad and my girlfriend’s iPod touch when traveling light for convenience. It does also support PS3 (TV).
· I haven’t noticed any buffer issues with 3G or wifi with a minum of 3 bars of 3G connection via AT&T network.

Netflix Cons:
· TV shows are outdated / old episodes. I guess if you wanted to catch up on shows years ago, this would be great.



Hulu Plus Pros:
· Most TV shows are current and has wide variety of episodes.

Hulu Plus Cons:
· Even though good amount of shows are on Hulu, a lot of them are for Web only. You can’t view them on an iPhone, iPad or the iPod.
· Based on movie selections, it appears most movies are direct to TV movies that never made it to the box office.
· With 3G, min of 3 bars, I get a lot of buffering and drop services.


So, I’m curious if there’s an app / provider that offers the movie selection of Netflix and the TV shows of Hulu Plus at the same or similar monthly price point.

My mom, is using the Amazon service I think she likes it. I have stopped dealing with the streaming companies myself as what the have to offer right now is crap until they can get their business plans in order I will just use redbox down the road.
