Fireworks are illegal in Houston. You have to go outside of the city limits. And most places I have seen are closed since it is after New Years. Not quite sure where any are available, but the two places near my house in Montgomery County are closed.

Just asking for clarification, but are sparklers fireworks? The reason I ask is a couple years ago fireworks were banned within cities but sparklers were okay. Might be worthwhile to check into that.

When we got married, we wanted to use sparklers, but our venue told us no way because the city banned them as fireworks. They could easily be wrong or just didn't want to deal with them. Don't know.

You might be right Tom, I looked over Harris County's Rules and there were exceptions but non specific to sparklers. Best thing to do is contact the local fire marshal's office for advice.

They are fireworks and as such can only be sold during a few days each year, we're out of that period now. But many fireworks bans specifically exempt sparklers as they are hand held. You can probably use them but cannot buy them at the moment. Your local fire Marshall or fire dept would be the expert to ask.
