First Porche did one... now the supercar guys have to get in the party. I can't wait for Top Gear to get their hands on this one.

Looks like it is the same base Q7/Touareg as the Porsche too. The Porsche SUV pissed off a lot of purists but gave them a LOT of new income and helped them immensely, even if I do REALLY not like them.

The Porsche is awful in a lot of respects. This Lambo looks just like the Porsche with some extra angles.

Actually Lambo started out making tractors and in the 80s did make a "hummer" version for the military.

So this actually isn't too far off.

Peter beat me to it: commercial vehicles are the basic cash flow business for Lambo. Which is also why Porsche did the Boxster, the SUV and the Panamera: cash flow keeps the factories open.

I was looking for that pic and got sidetracked. Talk about a vehicle that was maybe 10 years before its time. I bet it would have sold better when the Hummer craze hit.

Yeah it was fighting for govt. contracts but Humvee won the contract (and they were domestic).

These LM002's still fetch a pretty penny for SUV collectors.

But yeah the boxster / cayenne / etc are all to help fund the company to bring you Carrera gt's and 911 turbos. Heck even Enzo Ferrrari himself admitted he just made cars to fund his f1 team. If you have ever driven a boxster or cayenne, they're actually really fun / responsive. You would be surprised how well a 2+ ton suv outhandles some "sports cars" on a real track.
