Several years ago the sportbike industry started using an "R" in model names. Pretty soon it was "RR" and then the "X" started popping up. Not only did you get an "X" but now you got an "R" to boot.

Now I'm seeing camera manufacturers dropping an "X" in model names. Will we see the same here too?

Next year, the ZX12R from Canon & the CBR1100XX from Nikon?
