That is something that I thought about doing when I retire. But include other farm/ranch "out buildings". I love to look for them when we travel anywhere. It would be a huge project, though!
Thanks for sharing!

There was the stereotypical wooden barn out in the county some years back. As far as I know, I was the only photographer using it. Time came the owners tore it down for a metal building. Broke my heart.

I just wonder... Do you think 100 years from now photographers will be loving them some old metal buildings to photograph?

Perhaps Howard. After all it is age that builds character. A brand new wooden barn probably isn't any more picturesque than a new metal one.

I would disagree the wooden one wouldn't be a better choice. However, given the new type metal buildings will likely be the most common in the future, they will probably look good to photographers then.

If you ever head North from Texas on I-35 taking an east on the Arcadia Rte 66 exit will take you a beautifully restored round barn. One of few left in the country. It is about five miles, as I recall - but then I am old and forgetful - off the interstate exit. A side benefit is a visit to Pop's ( a mile or so before the barn) and the largest soda selection (They claim) in the lower 48. Both have neat photo ops and are a fun diversion when on the road.

that's the point; it is all relative: I saw someone gushing over a Mustang II a few weeks ago.
