He was a blast to watch - one of the few MLB players that everyone liked, whether you were playing against him or not. He had an infectuous smile that just made you like him. Sleep well Kirby . . . |

He was the victim of the funniest "hit by pitch" I ever saw... was playing for the Devil Rays in one of his particularly "large" phases... and he always wore his jerseys loose... the Rangers pitcher threw the ball inside just a little too close and it went into his jersey and spun around his body two or three times... Kirby was laughing so hard, he could barely walk to first base. I'll miss him. Loved that smile. |
