Question about 24

Okay, in a few episodes back Sean Aston got mugged by her sisters boyfriend. How did Sean Aston get back into CTU without his keycard? Last episode that russian hitman had to have a keycard even in the executive entrance.

yea, but isn't that odd how this same security guard didn't see this stranger using Lynn's card? you would think in CTU it would display the name of the card scanned, such as it did when the terrorist was using it to log into the vent. system....and DING, the security would have said "HEY< THAT"S NOT LYNN!"

I agree. You would think that they would have their name and pic on the keycard - that it would be like most companies that you wear on their lapel.

And that when you scan it, it searches their own database - not what is on the card. The whole file wouldnt be on the card - just how to access the file on the database.

If that is the biggest hole in plot we have on 24, we are doing pretty good. I watched the entire episode waiting for the terrorist in CTU to kidnap Kim.

Here is my big question of the night.

So these Russian terrorists are claiming that Moscow was their primary target and they werent going to use all this gas on the US, but are doing that because they had no other choice.

How did they already have the elaborate plan to get Lynn's CTU keycard? That is something that they had to plan in advance as they put it in motion quite a while ago. Lynn was mugged 4-5 hours ago (before the motorcade, etc) and the sister and boyfriend had to be contacted a while before that. The terrorists would have had to seach through CTU to find a family member that is a junkie or otherwise 'at risk' that would pull that type of stuff off and then track them down. My guess is that couldnt have happened in 20 minutes.


When Lynn was arrested - why wasnt his access locked out? I waas guessing that when the terrorist showed up with Lynn's keycard, there would be some kind of scuffle with security because when Lynn was arrested, CTU would deactivate his access - which would be flagged by security.

And Lynn doesnt even normally work at CTU. He was put on there by the President as a last minute kind of deal. How did they know before hand that he would have a keycard and he would have all access?

If CTU was chasing a bunch of people with nerve gas in LA, why didnt they get the DOD to send a bunch of gasmasks or other protective gear for when they go out on missions. Why lock yourself up when you can put that stuff on?

All I know is that Jack can kick some serious butt and he does not descrimiate on who he shoots. I also loved the look that he gave Kim's boyfriend.
