Carnivorous Canaballistic Clothing ... - 03-14-2006, 12:57 PM

I will let you all into a little secret. I have wild creatures in my home.

Beasts of a kind that you can not imagine. Animals of a common nature and a deceitful breed. Innocent seeming, yet perillous in reality. Lying in wait. Counting the moments until the lights go off. Until the laundry room door closes. Counting the moments until they can begin thier games of danger and folly.

I have carnivorously canaballistic clothing in my hamper.

It's true. They are like a group of demonically powered and inspired rags that get themselves all worked up into a frenzy of thread and bloodlust. They talk smack to one another when I am not around. They toss hostilities around when nobody can listen to the mean things they say. They are evil.

Then the door closes. The lights go out. And the battle ensues. Jeans attacking tshirts. Socks advancing through the battle front in a two by two pattern. Sweat pants lying in wait for some unsuspecting combantant to stumble across a tiger trap made out of dryer lint. And so it goes until there is a winner.

It is like an Ulitmate Fighting Championship. Until the battle is over that is. Then in a most grotesque act of superiority the winners devour the losers. Sweaters feeding on polos. Pants devouring hoodies. It's a horrid act of debauchery and insanity.

Then before the next day begins and the light comes back on they crawl back into the hamper to rest and wait. Wait for the light to come back on.

At least that is what I am figuring goes on b/c I'll be damned if I can't find my favorite t-shirt.

Prophet out.

DP, you really need to sit down and work on one long, book-length piece. Your voice is so consistent, unique, and hilarious that I know some fool would publish your book then we could all laugh in unison! Think about it. I'm going to go start the wait line at Barnes and Noble.

i dont really agree with the title alliteration. alliteration is most effective when its placed more subtlly. using it outright, in a title makes it seem like one of those silly children's books.

good luck!

see my profile for examples.

Speaking of the title...it is a bit redundant...
car•niv•o•rous
Subsisting or feeding on animal tissues

can•ni•bal•ism
The eating of the flesh of an animal by another animal of the same kind

(source: Merriam-Webster)
