Tour of my Darkroom - 12-30-2004, 06:45 PM

After many years of developing film in bathrooms and closets, I finally built my very own darkroom! It is 12' x 10' with a light trap door.

Here are my enlargers:

I found this sink at Camera Co-Op on shepherd. They sell lots of used darkroom equipment...... I bought the sink for $50.

The light table:

Print dryer:

I keep notes with grease pencils on laminated sheets pinned to the wall:

You don't have to know how to use Photoshop to have it...I'm a perfect example of that.

All kidding aside, I have no idea what most of that darkroom equipment is but its impressive that you have it and can use it.

I really enjoy spending time in there.

The laminated sheets are old wall calendars turned around. I started keeping notes like that so I don't have to flip through a book to find notes with wet hands.

Between working on the Vette, and the darkroom, my wife always know where I am!

i really want to setup my own darkroom but I am trying to get all my digital stuff sorted out right now.. i spent way to much on film when I used it. I still use it but just for fun right now. Cost of good film is really not that cheap and the processing for that film is even more expensive :-(
