Well I just got a iMac intel duo 2.0 ghz with 256 vid and 2 gigs of ram (20" display)

I have to say.. im extremely impressed with the switch to intel, there are still a few bugs and some software that needs major updating but I can already tell that it is going to kick major butt once its finished.

so for anyone who has been debating on it.. im here to tell you imho its worth the $$$$

Hmmm this is interesting to know b/c I have been thinking mac-ish. So as retarded as this may sound, do the old Pre-Intel apps work on the Intel machines?

What can I say? I'm retarded.

Prophet out.

yes all the programs will run under the "rosetta" programming. many big programs have and are going to make the switch and put out the "universal" versions to work on the Intel Macs.

as for photoshop, the universal version which probably wont be out till at least Fall will be CS3.

until then we have to run CS2 under rosetta, which really isnt all that bad. make sure you have at least a gig of ram.
