So let's hear the theories from last night.
Is it the girl that is really crazy or is it Hurley?
That was a nice little twist I kept waiting to see what the twist was going to be that night. The teaser for next week looks good too.
The button doesnt do anything. Is that for true or just to mess with John? I can see that taking 3 of 4 weeks before we find out anything... time to hit the sites and see what is the scoop. | | | | | Sponsored Links | Premium Members do not see Google advertisements. I'm a LOST crack addict...LUV THAT SHOW!
I think both could be a little crazy.
Not sure what to think about the "button". I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I've suspected for a while that the button is just an elaborate psych test.
The guy behind the others sounds scary.
I think that Libby THINKS she's a shrink.. and she's been around them long enough to know how to talk like one.... and that they are both crazy.

I agree and think Libby and Hurley are both crazy!!
The button I think is just a test to see if anyone is crazy enough to sit there and push it. Would you???

Me and my wife actually discussed our theories yesterday. Here is what we came up with....... jim.march said at 8:12AM:
Do you think that the LOST Island could be some type of Matrix style prison? I was thinking about it a long time before this episode. There sure are a lot of criminals on the island, and murderers. Sawyer, Anna, Sayid, Echo, Hurley, Jin, Kate have all killed someone.
It would also explain why the "others" take away the innocent people like Walt. christy.march said at 8:13AM:
hmmm, maybe.
well, what about the other people that aren't criminals. like lok
good theory jim.march said at 8:14AM:
Who says he isn't. We may just not know yet. christy.march said at 8:14AM:
yeah, maybe not. we still don't know how he became paralyzed jim.march said at 8:14AM:
He was shanked in jail! :p christy.march said at 8:14AM:
gosh, it was another really good episode last night, huh
lol
what the hell was libby doing in that insane asylum?? and why didn't hurley recognize her?????
weird stuff jim.march said at 8:15AM:
It could also be some type of military testing that is being performed on Criminals and Mental Patients. christy.march said at 8:15AM:
oh...maybe! that's good
do you think Jack is a criminal or insane jim.march said at 8:16AM:
Don't know....
The other thing, is that beside them having criminal activites in common, a lot of them have actual real life interaction in common, so there may be more to it. christy.march said at 8:17AM:
isn't libby a shrink or something?
psychologist, I think, right? jim.march said at 8:17AM:
I had thought about the criminal angle a long time ago when someone said they didn't like the way they were portraying Sayid as a big torturing meanie, and I brought up that just about everyone was a murderer, or felon of some sort.
Never thought about the island not being real though..... But when it was broke down last night, there are just too many impossibilites for it to not be some sort of illusion. christy.march said at 8:19AM:
hmmm, wow, I never thought about that. but it could be. so, why is "Henry" not able to just get out? do they have to get to a phone or something jim.march said at 8:19AM:
Maybe they need that shot! christy.march said at 8:19AM:
oh, maybe!
that's a good one
but how do the innocent people get there in the 1st place jim.march said at 8:20AM:
Yeah, that I haven't figured out.

The producers haven't said much about what the Island IS... but they have said a couple of things about what it is NOT.
It is NOT a dream.
It is NOT a Matrix-style world.

I really wonder if the writers really know what the island is.
sometimes one might think the writers are just winging... however the show was supposed to be only a mid season minni and the writers had it all done to wrap up. But then when the ratings started blowing up they had to pull it out for a longer season and then a 2nd season. so the writes know what the island is and all they are just building characters now and connecting the dots more truthfully leaving the dots to be connected.

The writers are the same writers as for Alias. Same sort of 'hey we've got a great idea, here's how it ends mumble mumble mumble', oh its successful, we'd better keep making things up....
Here's an interview with Abrams - http://www.scifi.com/sfw/issue387/interview3.html
He sort of seems to have a vague idea about what it might be, maybe, but he'll probably change his mind...

I've got to think there is some hallucination going on. Besides the plane wreck itself being tottally impossible. There are way too many impossible scenarios going on for it to be "real".
Sometimes I worry that the big reveal is going to be the biggest disappointment.
