Problems Logging In

Anyone having problems logging in?

I click on the login in, enter username and password, the result is the original page requiring me to log in again. When I do it shows no new posts.

So I have logged in to check PM then go to the forum index and all is OK. This has been happening over the past three days, at least I've only noticed it over the past three days.

Today I logged in as normal and got nothing then back paged to before the log in and then logged in to check PMs. Confusing.

I have mine set to login automatically and it seems to work for me.

i had that haapen a couple of times last night...

oncei made sure i had that little box checked it was ok...
ill look into it on the forum side though.. thanks

Checked the little box at the bottom of the page. I think that solved the problem. Thanks.

I have tried to set it to log in automatically but it doesn't. It also makes me log in twice and when I log out it still shows I'm active. Go figure.

I just tried logging in again and having the same problems as Jim just mentioned.

I have this same problem on another forum. I worked around it there by logging in to check PMs then clicking on the index.

I'll try that when I login in about one hour.

For the pat three logins I have logged in to check PMs then clicked on the index. This seems to be working. But just using the "Log In" on the right or at the bottom of the home page still is a problem.

So I'll use the work around.

hmm thats interesting. do u have anykind of norton or mcaffee software running that may interfere with Cookies on you ocmputer etc?

that could be a reason as well

AVG and Zone Alarm. I frequent seven forums. Only two run into this problem. This started in about the past 4 days. I did a complete scan on this system on 27 Dec. Then loaded the new AVG and Zone Alarm. So that may be the reason. I did not have this problem until after I updated those and time coincident with that I upgraded the AIM.

My computer tech will be over this weekend so we'll look at it again. In the meantime I'll use the workaround. A few extra clicks of the mouse is no big deal.
