The seller has a couple other large old boys that would kill you taking it to a mountain top but if you want to follow Old Ansel's style you need a big boy like this! Love the 480mm lens on this baby.

That is cool! How long do the batteries last and how in the heck do you turn it on? LOL.
I would like to learn how to use such a beast!

Don't know how you would get plates to use in this or if it can be adapted to use current film with darkslides but I guarantee you the detail that you would get in your negatives would blow even a medium format away.
You could blow up pics to make those supergraphics that they hang on the sides of skyscrapers with this baby.

Did you notice in the description that he says it doesn't have provision for tripod mounting? I guess Lester Bogen never got around to making a ball mount for this one!

Actually it has a table that comes with it-it is also listed for sale- and the table has adjustments for tilting the camera in all directions to some extent.

I'm really curious as to what this will sell for-the lens itself has to be worth some $$. After researching the company name this camera was made sometime between 1928 and 1944 and most likely in the 30's which means during the depression and since it was probably a high dollar item not many were made most likely.

They don't say what it weighs but I would bet close to 50 lbs.
