What I like about it: It's different then what we see all the time. How often do you see a in flight shot from above the bird?

What I like about it:
It is a unique landscape. Somewhat two-dimensional, but has very clean and beautiful elements. I like the contrast between the aqua waters (reminiscent of clear, warm tropical water) and snow-covered mountains. It's one of those photos that you have to stare at for a bit to convince yourself that it's real. Very beautiful!

Almost impossible to pick just one but here is one I like - 05-19-2006, 09:33 AM

What I like about it: The composition is very nice, the exposure is dead on, the water drops on the little guys back, the clarity of the duckling fading into total softness. Um and it's just so cute!

What I like about it:
It's a beautiful scene, and it's captured well with the camera. I love the oblique light and the textures. The earthtone colors are warm and give the scene a comfortable feel. I like the diagonal set of ripples in the sand and how they help lead the viewer's eye deeper into the image; this provides a nice depth to the photo. The different elements of the image contrast nicely- the low foreground & mid-ground (sand with ripples), the background (smooth, rolling dunes- like waves), and the sky (clear, sharp, deep blue with wonderful clouds).

What I liked about Photo: The clarity, The way he composed the owl to the side with the sibling showing in the background and those massive eyes with orange color around the owls eyes. It is fun to watch Daniel shoot because he is enjoying himself so much.

Comment: I love the simplicity of the shot. The land, the sky, and the tree really stand out from each other. I've shot a lot in the wild, and I know how difficult it is to find a good subject that can be separated from a busy background.

The tilt of the tree, the canyon, and the diagonal line in the sky seem to add up and draw my eye off to the right, deep into the photo. That gives it a nice depth, and adds good 3D realism.

The colors and earth tones are awesome. I really like it!

Comment: I really like the symmetry in this shot, and I like all the components in the composition (water, mountains, sky). The light is really, really nice - good timing! Looks like it was worth the early wake-up The photo feels very balanced and comfortable. I would love to see a large print of this to fully appreciate it.

Comment: Beautiful shot! I don't often see fisheye shots that I like, but this one is awesome. The "flow" of the water takes a very unique path (compared to more traditional landscape compositions) from the upper left down to the lower right while it curves and snakes over rocks. Very nice!

I love how the foreground is present (for scale and interest) but seems to almost blend into everything else- very smooth!

Comment: I think you've done a very nice job capturing the dynamic range. And I like how you've captured the pano in portrait-format shots. That's a very nice way to do it! I did it once before myself and was very pleased with the results- it really allows you to get a high-megapixel image without having a huge aspect ratio (like 4:1 or 5:1).

This shot is like something out of a dreamscape. Definitely worthy of printing out large, framing, and hanging in the house or office. I see people staring at that for long minutes and saying nothing but good compliments. I wish there were a little more clouds in the sky, particularly towards the top of the frame, but you did get some clouds and it really helps make the sky interesting.
