Outlook 2003 Help - 05-09-2006, 09:38 AM

My wife is having problems with her Outlook at work. she keeps getting the error message

there was a problems with one or more of your reminders network problems are preventing connection to the exchange computer.

She does not use the calendar or reminders in outlook. any ideas? I have tried searching the web and found one solution to run outlook from the command line (start|run|clearreminders, or something like that)

Try the updates. There have been three just this year. The first was a security update the second just says update and the third was a junk E-mail Filter.

If you are all up to date. Try looking at Help, About. My Office Outlook 2003 shows
(11,8010.6568) SP2.

Also try Help, About, then click on Tech Support.

I've not had the problem you have. I hope the updates help.

Marvin

Mine did that for a long time and I could not figure out what it was, I cleared out all my reminders and still would get this warning. I finally got it to stop but right now can not recall how, I'll have to think on it for a while.

Does she have any personal folders or archived folders? those are stored on the local hard drive and if any of them were moved, then she might get this error

First of all, exchange and outlook are the devil!!
Try this..
Try starting Outlook from the run line, once:
start | run
browse to Outlook.exe
add /cleanreminders after the last quote (end of the line)
OK/enter

Is this a laptop and does she put it to sleep and bring it back on line later, perhaps on a different network?

Outlook may have been set to offline mode. So it may be thinking it is not connected to the network.
