.....and I don't mean books from Barnes and Noble. I have learned most everything I know by watching another person....or reading what I can buy at a book store. It's how I've learned to build pc's, webpages, networks, cars, and many other hobbies of mine.
In highschool I took an interest in photography (back in '97). Well the interest is back, and I have forgotten most of what I learned in my Photo Journ. class. I bought my Digital Rebel and got 2 lenses (starter lenses). I read some book, browsed the forum, and taking a few shots. Granted, very little has been posted here for critique.
I feel I need some more formal training. I've contimplated some community college photography courses. I live in Dallas County, can anyone vouche or give and opinion on the photography courses at Dallas County com. college? I mean would it be a waste of time taking junior college level photography courses?
I mainly just need some more direct guidance, be it composition, lighting, or settings. I get the basic idea, come out with some ok shots, but nothing jumps out at me as something I want to spend time perfecting to have a final product after digital processing.
Anyone have an opinion on the worth of DCC's photography courses?
or a tip on another local area affordable school? (tcc?)
I've already been burned by a technical school (ITT-tech) as far as school loans go, so I have to do things on the cheap. so Art Institute of Dall is out.
I would love some feedback from you guys.
