New member, VERY hard question
I'm struggling to use my new computer. I've learned more about DDC/CI (the api which allows software to adjust monitors and calibrators than I want to know and still don't know enough. Not that I feel bad about my lack of knowledge. Apparently eVGA, Dell, LaCie, and many others don't have a clue either.
Rather than explain all the test results (about 20 hours of testing, researching, installing, booting, and emailing...) let me simply ask it this way.
Does anyone here have the following equipment:
LaCie calibrator (any model, I have Blue Eye 2)
Windows XP
Even better if you have this additional hardware:
Dell 2005FPW (or similar)
7800 GT (PCIe or AGP)
My problem is that LaCie can't change the Gamma so the monitor can't be calibrated. It can be calibrated with Spyder2 but that only allows calibration to a gamma of 2.2 and I need 2.4 for daily use. (2.2 for photo editing) |
