wives of photographers - 07-10-2006, 05:20 PM

Is anyone out there just a wife of a photographer and not take pictures or are all of you photographers? I am the wife of Russell that is on the forum but I don't take pictures unless it is with my little digital camera and it is usually of our kids in the backyard, us on vacation, etc.
I enjoy looking at pictures like Russell and a lot of you guys take( except snakes). From what I have seen on here everyone does a great job.

My wife, Louanne, takes photos, lots, of grandboys and our garden flowers, and while she sews, I post. This is one she took with her Fuji A310, I used Picasa to pp.

No, but I'm the wife of a complete camera-phobe! He won't take pictures or be in one.

Do you also take pictures or is it just your wife?

I know how your husband feels a little. I am not afraid to use my little digital camera but I would prefer my picture not be taken. Russell is always trying to get me to wear camo and be in pictures for him like I'm hunting or something of that nature although I am not a hunter at all. I always tell him if he can find someone else to do the outdoor picture to get them instead of me.

I haven't had my picture taken since the 8th grade! over 28 years ago. I managed to stay out of every class photo through school. Only time I've came close to being photographed was when A&E did a story on Bernie Teiddy here in Carthage and I was in the background of one of the scenes. My big time in the spot light!

Don't ya know those camera thingies will steal your soul .

That is okay. I just realized also that when I typed my reply I was on Russell's account instead of mine. So that is why it has Russell's picture on there.

I have never asked Russell to post any of my pictures that I take because compared to some I have seen on here I would probably be embarrassed by mine.

Well I appreciate the vote of confidence. I don't know if I will get bit by the phot bug, as you call it, because right now taking pictures like you guys do is not one of my favorite things to do. But like I said before I do like using my little point and shoot to take pictures of my kids and stuff like that. We will just have to wait and see.
