Well, I hope he get clear out of this. To me, if someone is trying to break into your property, then you should have the absolute total right to shoot them. So i hope they don't start some stuff about this.

Remember, if you shoot a "would-be" burglar outside your home, drag the body inside afterwards. Just a little CYA

Just kidding. Actually, I know a guy in our neighborhood that shot at someone in his backyard in the dead of night. He hit the dude with some rock salt (shotgun) and wounded him. Not bad, but enough to require a visit to the emergency room. The police never did anything to him (the homeowner).

One great thing about texas. If this was cali, the homeowner would prob get sued....

Sad but true. Not only sued, must most likely prosecuted for assault. You are only allowed to use deadly force if you feel your life is in danger and it must be the appropriate level. It's plain crazy, but having spent the first 42 years of my life in the golden state, I know it to be true.
