You can always add her as a friend. Read her profile to see if she is legit or if ou recognize her from somewhere obscure, and if not delete her.

I got a request yesterday that I almost deleted, but I went ahead accepted, read through the profile, and then noticed that I recoginized some names her Top 8 section. Turns out I knew the girl.

Guys.... if you dont know someone and their quote is "Even When Sleeping, Im Still Always Thinking About You ", why on earth would you want to add them?

None of it adds up... and personally myspace is such a waste of time when it comes to adding friends who randomly request it.

why has this thread continued this far...as if there was something to gain from knowing this "so called" gal?

Myspace, "where men are men, women are men and children are federal agents".

nah...

we were just explaining the fact that some people but their age as under 14 so that they dont get bothered by a ton of people...

ive gotten a lot of info from myspace... in fact we had about 100-200 photographers register on the forum within a couple of days (a few months back) from me searching and sending out recruitment emails and such... it can be used for good...

And then of course there's the Flat MyKey does Vegas page which is absolutely hilarious!!!

I actually monitor MySpace for strange activity from time to time. Soon they will be forced to start implementing security features that will protect young people, and other folks from spammers, and other unfriendly folks.

MySpace is a good place, but unfortunatly, people have learned how to take advantage of this, and abuse of it in wrongfull ways. Leave it so someone to always ruin the fun.

In anycase, screen your friends well before you even add them to your list. There are several ways of doing this. One way is by sending an email to the requestor before you aprove it within MySpace. Ask them something that will either grab thier attention, of something that will scare them off. Typlically asking them as to why they sent you the request, and what you would gain from adding them is more than enough.

Remember, only you have the power to stop any of this. So use total security when approched by someone you do not know!

Regards,

AG

Don't freak about adding someone as a friend. If they turn out to be bogus, just delete them.

There are lots of bots, spammers, people up to no good, etc, etc... But adding them as a friend is not going to suddenly have the cops show up at your door.
