i get all kinds of dumb request -- from people in bands to girls that say they "want" me only to be a link to an adult website.

I had to put you must leave your last name on friends request and that b.s. ones have stopped.

It's a myspace spam/porn/scam common occurance, and the thing that might eventually kill it.

A lot of female's put their age as 14 to make their profile viewable only by people on their friends list.

For instance, Summer's myspace page says she is 14, but we both know she is over 21.

Other females make their age 99. This keeps their profiles visible to anyone, but helps keep the creatons from searching for them with advanced filters that target 18-25 year olds.

i know a bunch of people that put 14 simply to keep from getting spammed with a ton of friend requests from weirdos etc. etc..

I third it . . . several of my friends show up as 14 or 99 in order to stay out of the searchs.
