I plan to be there this Saturday for a bridal shoot. Not with an actual bride, but with a model. I plan to do some traditional bridal, but I also have some off the wall ideas that we are both pretty excited about. Anyway, we will be shooting in the Rose Garden, but I wondered if any of you might have other location ideas. Keep in mind that I am not very familiar with the area, so be as specific as possible. Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to provide.

There's a big church down town that might make some nice outdoor settings. The casinos down town have highly reflective glass you might get a nice look with. In Bossier there is a new outdoor shopping mall if you go early you might be able to use some space there.

Yeah the Methodist church Downtown sits dead center of the end of Texas Street and is a pretty cool shot.

Also downtown is the american tower, if they let you in, which is kinda nice in the atrium.

I am not sure if you can shoot at the boardwalk (bossier - under the Texas Street Bridge) though without askig permission from the property, but the park across the river in Shreveport has some really cool stuff too.

For eats. I highly recommend Superior Bar and Grill on Line Ave. or Herby K's...can't remember where that was at.

The campus at centianry is pretty cool too for a location.

Betty Virginia Park - 07-12-2006, 05:09 PM

It's been about a hundred years since I was last in Betty Virginia Park, but I remember the park as being very nice. All of that could have changed. It's located between Fairfield and Line Avenues south of downtown. GOOGLE maps can show the way. Fairfiled Avenue, Ockley Drive, etc. have numerous lovely old homes which migh work well as backdrops. Or just to see and photograph them.
