photoshop templates for photographers - 07-13-2006, 01:19 PM

i am interested in some feedback from you guys. I design photoshop templates and backgrounds for professionals - fantasytemplates.com
i need some quality critique, like what is that you want when it comes to templates, etc. you can browse all of them if you go to products/preview and click the gallery you want. It's a 6 CD set (on 1 DVD) + a gift CD with my Da Vinci Code templates and backgrounds (www.theaxa.com/davinci.jpg)

i would appreciate some feedback, so i could adjust and make some more templates.

Tried to look at the site - but the obnoxious sound/music started - I'm at work and that's a no-no.
I'd reccomend loosing the sounds - they are not needed.

The Davinci sample though looked nice.
I'll check out the rest of the fantasytemplates.com site from home where I won't get in trouble.

i liked the templates i saw... i am more action oriented so i would naturally want to see more sports templates. However, the other template styles interetsed me also.

You did all those templates yourself?

Some nice looking templates. I bet if you gave a special to people on TPF you'd sell a lot. :-)

Went to the site (without reading closely every post in the thread, thus I missed Steelsun's post) and the music started blaring. 4:16 in the morning, my wife is now awake, as is my daughter (and possibly the kids upstairs).

The templates may be nice, I'll never know, because I won't go back to the website. I too recommend losing the sounds.

oh, i am so sorry! I have made the templates and that website as well, now i feel guilty for waking your whole family up. I want to thank you all for being so suportive. my goal was to try and deliver something that is really useful and new, not just another template set that's gonna end up on the shelf in 3 days like those countless templates i've seen in past. I am very interested in giving people on TPF special discount. What would be fair price? You name it and let's be it. I am an artist and i love other people's art, especially photography. It's not about the tools, it's about what's inside of you and how you show it to the world. My templates can help a little bit, but ithey are just a tool. Why would i charge 300 and more (like people do) for something like that? It took me months to make them, true, but, c'mon. We have to know our place. So - you guys name the price and i'll make it happen (but let's be fair, it' can't be $3.87)!!! :)

OK, for all of you with speakers & kids & offices...here is another link, a flash page-flipper that is easy to browse: just pick a CD you want to see and flip the pages by clicking the lower right (or left) corner or this "virtual catalog".

http://www.theaxa.com/auction/movie.htm

Another thing: The Da Vinci Code consists around 11 templates and backgrounds right now (it's a full CD of photoshop layered files in hi-res). My idea is to make it BIG, a DVD full of Da Vinci templates. Do you think that's a good idea, or should i stick with sports & weddings & seniors...

thank you all,

I think they all look nice, and don't necessarily have to be aimed at Sports or Seniors (I saw several in many sets that could be used as Nature ones also).

I would lose the word "code" in your Davinci Set though, unless you licensed the name from Dan Brown, as he might want a piece of you from infringment.

Your templates are very nice. Do you by any chance use Fotofusion? I have been thinking of getting that program.

Are these layered psd's where I could change up colors to coordinate with the subject or school colors?

Let me know what price you decide because I am interested if it fits within my budget.

I am not familiar with Fotofusion. I'll try to find out about it. My templates are layered photoshop files where everything is open and nothing is hidden - many people say that they were able to actually learn cool tricks just by analyzing my files. You can replace the photos, but you can also modify those templates with a little knowledge of photoshop and make some new ones in no time. All the layers, layer effects, text, colors, everything is easy to change and modify. All the other background files are .tiff's in hi-res.

about the price, the button on the website says $150 , but how about 50% discount for TPF people + Da Vinci templates as a gift? (s/h included), plus an extra gift (keep reading)...
this is the procedure: Go to paypal.com and "send money" to harisc@hotmail.com (it's my paypal account name) - then send an email to that same email address with your mailing address (i will however get it from paypal as well, but i like to be sure). In the meantime, i'll get the confirmation from Paypal and your disks are out next day. (1 DVD with a 6 CD set + Da Vinci CD).

Now, here's more: I will also send you another CD with some really cool images of sport items that you can use to replace balls, bats, helmets on sports templates, and also some great photos of seasons, clouds, flowers...stuff that you can easily incorporate in your templates. PLUS, there are 3 extra 15x30 templates in hi-res (see them at http://theaxa.com/auction/bonus2.jpg) and a professional letterhead I have designed with a photographer in mind (see it at http://theaxa.com/auction/letterhead.jpg), some fonts, etc...

Just please make sure send me an email with your full mailing address and write "TPF MEMBER DISCOUNT-8 disk set" in the email (to remind me, because i don't usually give that option). Is it fair?
