Last Minute Jitters - 04-23-2005, 11:55 AM

Just sitting here killing time until the bride calls me to meet her up at the church. I'm doing a tiny country church wedding this afternoon for my good friends daughter (who is the same age as mine and who's picture has already been posted here in the senior pictures section--Alisha). Anyway even though I've known them forever and even though they have faith in my abilities and like my "style" of photography...I'm still nervous.
Do you guys ever still get nervous before a shoot? Any last minute pointers other than stay away from the liquor table while I'm working?
Wish me luck.

DJ

wow.. i get jitters all of the time when it comes to something youll only have one chance at...

ok wait, that may not make things better for ya. sorry.

just try to relax and think things thru your head about the shoots etc. i see this tends to help me settle down and get in my element so to speak so when the time comes, im already in the groove mentally and im good to go.

when doing concerts, i only have 5-10 minutes tops to get in there and shoot and then i gotta get out! so i cant use 2-3 minutes to get "warmed up" so to speak once im in there

You will do great - and you've got a good relationship which will put them at ease. That will make their poses and appearance a lot more relaxed.

If that fails, have a margarita, put it on the green square, and press the round button on the top!
