A routine eBay Phish. Alway forward them with full headers to eBay spoofs, spoof@ebay.com. Maybe it will help the nail the phisher.

YEah I was getting some in reguards to having bought an IPOD for like $49.95 on an e-mail account that doesn't even have an active E-bay account associated with it which really stands out as a phishing attack. I used to forward all of them to Ebay for a good while but there have been so many lately I now just deleate them and go about my business.

I'll bet I get a dozen a day in my SBC Bulk Mail (Spam Filter) folder!

Your probably right, I was trying to get this for JK's Birthday, but since it's already gone by, I guess I forgot about paying for his present

Thats one of the ways crooks highjack EBay accounts to run their scams. If you ever get one that looks like it came from EBay and is asking you to verify your account information don't answer or reply to it. I've recieved some that you would swear came from EBay with the way the page was set up but it was bogus, anyone can make a page that looks offical. Forward it to spoof@ebay.com like John said and never reply to them.

Any REAL e-mail from EBay will use your FULL NAME in the address line.

Any email that starts with "Hello" or "EBay User" is a fraud!!!

Thanks for all the replys and help, sometimes these things look so official. I didn't respond to it, but it's kind of weird that I had been looking on e-bay a couple of days ago and then I get this????
