Coke can is a strange size or perhaps he is drinking from the bottom of the can?

It's a tall, skinny 250 ml can... which is about 8.5 ounces.

Japanese sized can. This what we had when I was in Japan.

That the bus he's in is on the left side of the road, because it's a right hand drive.

I'll take a stab at this. He is an American, on the lamb in Japan, drinking from the bottom of a coke can he bought from that store on the corner, standing in the middle of the road with what appears to be a vehicle making a right turn into him.

LOL... I think most of us have 4 fingers. At least, last time I looked.

Ok. Yes, he's in Japan. Yes, he's drinking from the bottom of the can. Notice that the can is tin, not aluminum. It has the steel seam top and bottom.

This is a scanned image of a PanX photo I shot in 1973 while in Japan for the military.

I was talking about this can with someone else yesterday and never knew that soda and beer cans need a can opener. She thought all cans for ever had pop tops...

One of the older folks noticed that right away...
